The D.H. Day historic barn is a well-known landmark located just south of Glen Haven in Glen Arbor, Michigan. Built in the late 1880s and early 1890s, this massive white barn is part of the D.H. Day Farm, which was originally a hog and dairy farm owned by lumber baron D.H. Day. The 116-foot-long dairy barn, with its poured concrete silos, octagonal cupolas with bell roofs and a vaulted and ogee roof with slightly flared caves to permit water drainage, is both picturesque and functional.  The farm also includes several other historic buildings, such as a house and three out-buildings.

The barn and its surrounding structures are a testament to the agricultural heritage of the Sleeping Bear Dunes area and have become a beloved sight for visitors traveling along M-1093. Most of Day’s original farmland is now part of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, managed by the National Park Service.  However, the barn is still privately owned and maintained.
