The now defunct Dick Simon Trucking was, at one time, one of North America’s largest refrigerated fleets running the US, Mexico and Canada. The company - which was based in the Salt Lake City, UT area - was an innovator in the long-haul trucking industry and had a sometimes controversial existence. The model graphics feature the “Sweet Simon” skunk logo which was DST’s famous trademark.
This never before produced model features First Gear’s Freightliner Classic XL cab style with a 53’ Refrigerated Trailer. The detailed cab has an opening hood and doors with full engine and interior detail, posable front wheels and excellent exterior and chassis detail and the trailer has opening split rear doors with interior trailer detail, operational landing pads and a Thermo King reefer.
This is a limited production run of 300 models.
