The French and Indian War - Redcoats and Bluecoats: Described variously as the world on fire or the first world war it was the first conflict to be fought all around the globe. It is estimated that 900,000 to 1,400,000 people died in the war. In Europe the war was referred to as the Seven Years War and in the American Colonies it was referred to as the French & Indian War (the French and Indians fought on the same side against the British and Colonists).
